In an exciting move for staff and students, Minister for Education and Federal MP for Blaxland, Jason Clare, opened several new and refurbished facilities at Trinity Catholic College’s Regent Street and Auburn campuses last week.
The projects were delivered with the support of Federal Government funding of $8.65 million through the Capital Grants Program.
“A lot of work has gone into this project which has delivered a new multipurpose hall with stage and change rooms and new administration and staff buildings for Year 7 and 8 students and staff at the school’s Regent St campus,” Minister Clare said.
“Improvements to the school’s Auburn campus for students in Years 9 to 12, include new general and outdoor learning areas, a new school hall, an art annex, a college square and staff offices and amenities.”
The school has also undergone refurbishments to existing general learning areas, an art studio, gymnasium and other common areas.
Minister Clare said the new facilities would benefit those presently enrolled at Trinity Catholic College, as well as the many students who would follow in future years.
“The teachers, staff and students at Trinity Catholic College have built a strong and positive school community and these new facilities are further enhancing the educational opportunities in our local area,” he said.
