Implementation of the roadmap
CSNSW is supporting schools and systems in implementing curriculum reform through a range of structures and activities, including:
- CSNSW membership of key NESA committees
- Curriculum Reform Steering Committee – Danielle Cronin
- Curriculum and Credentials Committee – Dr Joanne Hack
- Sector Expert Reference Groups
- professional learning opportunities for dioceses and schools including conferences
- ‘Early adopter’ partnerships with the NSW Department of Education
- an online Curriculum Reform Hub to share information and provide a repository of resources
- individual visits to dioceses.
Collaboration opportunities
We are also providing opportunities for face-to-face inter-diocesan and school collaboration through the following activities:
- Online and on-demand professional development modules available on the CSNSW Professional Learning Portal to support syllabus familiarisation and implementation
- Conferences such as the 2024 CSNSW Secondary Curriculum Reform Conference (30 September – 1 October). These conferences are popular, so register today to join your colleagues from across NSW and consider the syllabus implementation and opportunities for school improvement
- The K-6 Curriculum Symposium facilitated by Dr Simon Breakspear, focused on methodologies to support school-based curriculum reform, including developing implementation teams
- a K-6 Curriculum Reform Working Group
- a Secondary Curriculum Officers Network.
