Support for Parents and Carers

Parents dropping their child at the Catholic school classroom to meet the teacher.

Please note

CSNSW does not directly support or interact with parents and carers of children within Catholic schools. If you need support during your time with a Catholic School, please contact the independent council below.

The Council of Catholic School Parents

The Council of Catholic School Parents (CCSP) was established in 1995.

The Bishops of NSW/ACT and CSNSW officially recognise the CCSP as the body representing the interests of families with children in all NSW Catholic schools.

The voice of Catholic school parents

CCSP assists parents and carers by:

  • promoting family, school and community partnerships
  • advocating for student safety
  • supporting student wellbeing
  • lobbying state and federal governments for school funding
  • providing input into curriculum development
  • influencing state and federal policy formulation
  • providing advice to parents and carers to help them in their role as their children’s first educators.
